Arline Joy McIlveen, 89, of Hudson, widow of Charles S. McIlveen, passed away Thursday evening, March 31, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. McIlveen was born in Nashua on August 18, 1932, a daughter of the late Edgar and Mildred (Nutting) Boyer. She attended the former St. Louis de Gonzague Parochial School in Nashua.
Arline was a homemaker and also worked in the Nashua Mills, Irwin Toy, Jamie Shoe Company and H.J. Stabile & Son, Inc.
She has made her home in Hudson for over twenty years and previously resided in Litchfield for many years.
In her leisure time, Arline enjoyed flea markets, playing cards, was an avid doll collector and Elvis Presley fan. She held memberships in the Hudson and Nashua Senior Centers.
Arline and her husband Charles were married February 6, 1960 and shared 49 years together until his passing on February 20, 2009.
Members of her family include her daughters, Pamela Antonovitch of Litchfield and Brenda McIlveen of Hudson; five grandchildren, Scott, Heather, Christine, Charles and Amanda; her sister, Sally (Boyer) Prince; also nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Arline was predeceased by her brother, Edward Boyer; her sister, Helen (Boyer) Forcier; and her son-in-law, Peter Antonovitch.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday afternoon, April 5th from 3 to 5 p.m. A graveside service will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery, 71 Derry Road in Hudson, Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock.
