Candace Star “Candy” (Dunton) Gendron, 60, of Merrimack, NH passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2021 in Merrimack, NH.  Born on July 11, 1961 to her late parents, Sterling A. and Josephine J. (Ukryn) Dunton, she was raised and educated in Nashua, graduating from Nashua High School with the Class of 1979.  After high school, believing in the value of a secondary education, Candy enrolled at Rivier University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication.  She worked as a graphic designer for McLean Communications for many years.

Candy had many different titles in her life that defined who she was a person.  She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.  One title that set her apart from many others was artist.  Candy loved music, cooking a simple meal and giving back to those who were less fortunate than herself.  She volunteered countless hours with the Friends of Symphony New Hampshire, travelling, and devoted her compassion towards nature.  Candy was a member of the Nashua Chamber of Commerce and was a guide on the Holiday House Tour.  She touched many lives in many different circles and she will truly be loved, cherished and missed by all.

Candy is survived by her beloved husband, David M. Gendron, also of Merrimack, with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage together.  They were united in matrimony in a simple ceremony on May 30, 1987.  She was the dear mother to her son John Gendron, also of Merrimack.  Candy is also survived by her two sisters; Carol O’Connor of Las Vegas, NV and Lisa M. Lamontagne of Nashua, and nieces and nephew, Darcie, Lorrie, Beth, Leanne and Daniel.

Visitation for Candy will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 5 – 7 PM at the Farwell Funeral Home, 18 Lock Street, Nashua.  Friends and family are cordially invited to attend.  A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.farwellfuneralservice.com.   Arrangements under the direction of FARWELL Funeral Service.

Candy was a very good friend of mine in high school, meeting in Graphic Arts class. We shared many fun times together, including driving down and camping at Daytona Beach, countless nights dancing the night away at Brothers 4 and camping trips. She was always fun to be around and had a generous heart! I will miss Candy tremendously and offer David, John and the rest of the family my deepest condolences. Any time you would like to talk and relive great memories of Candy, please reach out.

Candace was a beloved member of Friends of SymphonyNH. She was that bright spot in the room; fun loving and generous of spirit, she lent us her visual marketing expertise for Garden and Holiday House Tours. We have so many happy memories with Candy, at events, social outings and house meetings. Our deepest condolences to her family. We will miss her so much.
