Carlene C. Rand, 80, of Franklin, wife of Alex R. Rand, passed away Friday morning, August 10, 2018 at the home of daughter, Alexa Sullivan of Nashua.
Born in Caribou, Maine on September 23, 1937, daughter of Lucien Bouchard of Limestone, Maine and the late Hazel (Martin) Bouchard. Carlene was a graduate of Caribou High School and furthered her education at the University of Maine where she studied Gerontology.
A resident of Franklin for the past 31 years, Carlene was a homemaker to her family and also worked as a dental assistant.
Members of her family include her husband Alex, with whom she shared the past 47 years; her father, Lucien Bouchard; four children, Trena Bertassi and her husband Gary of Palmer, MA, Monte Crosier and his wife Kathy of Hillsborough, NC, Shana Crosier-Campsey and her husband Ronald of East Quogue, NY, and Alexa Sullivan and her husband Todd of Nashua; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Carlene was predeceased by two brothers, Elwood L. Bouchard and Stanley R. Bouchard.
Services for Mrs. Rand will be private. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
