Please accept my family's condolences. Death was not part of God’s original purpose for us. Our loving God considers death as his enemy - 1 Corinthians 15:26 – “the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” Death is an enemy that separates us from our loved ones. When death is removed, we will have the joy of our loved ones being resurrected to enjoy life the way our Grand Creator purposed for us…forever on earth. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9, 11)

Dory, I'm so sorry for your loss. Chris was such a positive role model with all kids at CSDA. He never seemed down and always had a smile. I used to look forward to having a coffee with Chris before basketball games on Saturday. If I can help you in any way, please let us know. Love, Patty and Kevin.

My deepest sympathy to Chris's family. I always enjoyed Chris's smiling face and his dedication to the children and staff at HCS. He always had positive comments, and left you feeling like you could "pay it forward". Rest in peace.

Love has been the strong link between the 4 of us since the beginning and will continue on forever. May we one day be blessed again with such wonderful neighbors = friends as you were on Scottie Way. Jerry and I have missed you both since our moves and always say when we watch the Bruins or Pats ” Chris would be yelling at them if they missed a play and cheering them on with every step toward victory! ” I’ll never forget that day Jerry and I had, had a loud disagreement about something and I stomped out the door still loudly trying to make my point only to look up as I closed the door to find Chris working on his truck just a few feet away. All he said to me as I looked up sheepishly and embarrassed, not expecting anyone to be there, ”Bad day, huh.” I replied, ”Bad Life!” The truth is - that wasn’t an honest statement. It was only a ”bad moment” - not a bad life. One of the many things we have learned following Chris and Dory’s long and hard-fought battle is this - we wake up each day never knowing what we’ll face over the next 24 hours, so we strive to bring more Joy, Appreciation and Love into each moment. From the movie, LEAP YEAR, we remember this quote, ”Kiss one another as if each kiss was the FIRST and LAST kiss of your lives” Words to live by. Our love for you will always be strongly rooted in our souls and that, along with such great memories, will keep Chris alive in our hearts forever. Everytime I hear thunder from now on, I’ll know that he’s up there kicking up dust in his rumble truck.

Dear Dory, There are no words that can express the sadness I have hearing of Chris's passing. In time of deepest mourning knowing that he will always be with you through memories, stories we can share and that his spirit will live on forever, might give you all some comfort. Thinking of you Dory and your family.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. May your memories of Chris continually lift your spirits. May you also remember the promises of our Heavenly Father Jehovah. He will swallow up death forever and soon end all our suffering. (Rev. 21:3-5; Isa. 25:8) May His promises be a soothing balm for your grieving hearts.
