Claire (Ledoux) Dean, 103, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, February 24, 2019 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare.

Mrs. Dean was born in Nashua on October 9, 1915, a daughter of the late James and Marie Ann (St. Laurent) Ledoux. Claire was the widow of William Dean, who passed away August 7, 1982. During her youth, she resided in the French Hill neighborhood and attended local schools.

She had been employed as a waitress at the Nashua Country Club for twenty- five years.

Claire was a member of Sage and 55 Plus. She also was twenty-five years member of RSVP where she knitted for them.  Her favorite pastimes were knitting and crocheting. She was a volunteer of the Alzheimer’s program at Millett Manor in Nashua. Mrs. Dean was a communicant of St. Joseph The Worker Parish and the former St. Francis Xavier Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Claire was predeceased by her brother, Leo Ledoux; and her sisters, Cecile Jubert, Annette Desmarais and Doris Hodge.

Members of her family include her son, Dennis J. Dean and his wife Pauline (Levesque) Dean; three grandchildren, Mark Dean, Christopher Dean and his wife, Laura (Bosteels), and Melissa (Dean) Bosteels and her husband Daren; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Dean, Justin Bosteels and Brieonna Bosteels; also many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph The Worker Church, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Friday morning, March 1st at 10 o’clock. Family and friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at a late date.  Donations may be made in her memory to the St. Joseph The Worker Parish Building Fund, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03062.

Such a special Lady and very dear friend! We were so blessed to have her in our lives. Always positive and full of life, she has earned a peaceful place in heaven. Dennis very sorry hear of your mom's passing. She was a life long friend of my mom we all have many loving memories of visits to your home on Shattuck Street and the occasional visit to the lake in Raymond NH.
