Daniel E. Simoneau, 68, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
Born in Nashua on March 18, 1955, he was one of eleven children of the late Edgar L. and Rachel Y. (Maynard) Simoneau. Dan was a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School, Class of 1973. He furthered his education at the New Hampshire Vocational -Technical College in Nashua graduating in 1976 with a degree in Business Management.
Dan began working at the family business, Leda Lanes in Nashua, starting at the age of 16. He later worked for his sister and brother-in-law, Louise and John Patterson, at Patterson Dental Arts for several years, followed by H&O Dental Lab. Dan owned and operated JD Ortho from December of 1997 until his passing.
A devoted husband and father, Dan loved spending time with his family at the Simoneau Family lake house in Hampstead, NH. In his leisure time, Dan was an avid and competitive pool player, enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, going to concerts and watching movies.
Members of his family include his beloved wife of 44 years, Christiane N. (Charest) Simoneau, whom he married on October 8, 1978; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and Sarah Simoneau; his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea L. and Jason Finnie; four grandchildren, Avery (8), Zoey (6), Hannah (7), and Cameron (4); his ten siblings and their significant others, William and Roberta Simoneau, Constance and Barry Breen, Jeanne and Allan Hulse, Louise and Gary Remillard, David and Maria Simoneau, Marie and David Goranson, Leon and Sherry Simoneau, Diane Simoneau and Keith Morgan, Donald and Lorene Simoneau, and Nancy Simoneau and Chris Boucher; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lise Roussel, Denis and Nancy Charest, and Suzanne and Glenn Anderson; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday, March 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
