Hi Mary Lou! I was sorry to hear of Dave’s passing away I first knew him from 9th Grade at Spring St. Billy Lessard would imitate an electric guitar and Dave would do a Fender Bass and they’d make this funny version of the song “I Love That Dirty Water”. I remember you too from St. Christopher’s in the 50’s and 60’s - what swell times we had. I think I know the hurt you must be feeling. We lost our father, Charlie Jr. just a few weeks ago. God Bless you Good Friend.

The news of Dave's death has deeply saddened us all in the Santa Claus community. He epitomized the spirit of love, tenderness, joy and caring that Santa represents. He will be greatly missed. Our sympathy and love go out to his friends and family.

I am so very very sorry to have heard of Dave's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him when he was Santa at L.L.Bean. He brought so much joy to so many children. His smile warmed their hearts and ours. Christmas time at L.L.Bean, in Santa's Workshop, will never be quite the same. He will be very missed by those who got to know him for who he was, a wonderful guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We are so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. He was such a great guy. We will never forget the summer of ‘69. Best friends back then. Once a friend, always a friend with Dave. He was instrumental in bringing us together. Our first date was a double . We fell in love and we thank him for that spark. He was best man at our wedding. We made a life and him his. We can all write a book about this man and how we will never forget how he touched our lives in a wonderful way. Stay strong Mary Lou, our heart aches for you and your family at this sad time. Rest in Peace Friend.

Please accept my deepest condolences. I only knew Dave from L.L.Bean where he left a legacy of smiling kids and happy parents. He was an amazing Santa and and wonderful man out of costume, too. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

Reading the condolence messages, everyone mentions his always smiling. That is very true. When I would visit, he’d usually be sitting in his recliner, and his greeting was always with a smile. When most of us just dream of where we want to be, Dave fulfilled his. Thinking of you Mary Lou, Amy, Casey and family.

Marilyn Ciardelli said : Guest Report Apr 23, 2020 at 10:11 AM

Gary and Mev Ciardelli extend our sympathy and wishes for peace to Mary Lou and the entire family. Dave was just the nicest person, fellow worker at PSNH, happy Santa at LL Bean, and just so likeable. Gary got out his picture of Dave with his 8 point buck this morning.....so many deer hunting stories, pictures and memories. We are so glad Dave came to visit us, the last time with Mary Lou...We are among the many who will miss this special and caring person. God's peace to all.

Jack Donovan said : Guest Report Apr 23, 2020 at 9:23 AM

Dave still brings a smile to everyone’s face because of his peaceful, patient, positive way he approached everyone he came in contact every time, every day. Don’t know if anyone who could bring more joy to children as Santa, than Dave. Our hearts go out to his family that he talked about all the time. Summers will NOT be the same @ Bank of NH Pavilion without Dave.
