Deloris I. Fellows, 91, of Nashua and Hudson for many years, widow of John F. Fellows, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 8, 2018 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson.
Mrs. Fellows was born in Marion, Indiana on July 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Paul C. and Emma Lillian (Colvin) Drook and attended schools in Converse, Indiana.
Deloris and her husband John were married on May 18, 1946 and resided in Henniker, NH for a couple of years before moving to the Greater Nashua area where she made her home for many years.
A homemaker, Deloris also worked as manager of Lillian’s Motel on Concord Street in Nashua.
Known for her outgoing personality and love of people, Deloris was a giving, kind and hard-working person. She was a longtime member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She was predeceased by her husband John, who passed away on January 29, 2002; two sons, Paul James Fellows in May 1951 and John D. Fellows in May 2015; a brother, Richard Drook and a sister, Mary Francis.
Members of her family include two sons, Paul R. “Rich” Fellows and Fred H. Fellows; a daughter, Lillian Sutcliffe and her husband Brian; nine grandchildren, John Letendre, Lisa Ann Kloza, James Letendre, Melanie Beth Gabriel, Marlena, Charlene and Janie Fellows, Michael Robinson and Amanda Fellows; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Forest Drook and Robert Drook of Marion, Indiana; two sisters, Joanne Johnson and Agnes Drook of Marion, Indiana; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Friday evening, August 17th from 5 to 8 p.m. Her memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 282 Broad Street, Route 130, Hollis, NH, Saturday August 25th at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to attend. A private graveside service will take place at New Cemetery in Henniker, NH.
