Dennis Joseph Comolli, 82 of Dover, New Hampshire and Naples, Florida died on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Concord Hospital.

Dennis met his wife Jessie N. (Gucciardi) Comolli at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in 1954. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year on October 16th.

Born in Milford, NH on September 24, 1932, he was a son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Hallisey) Comolli. Dennis and his twin brother, Arthur were well known in Milford as the intelligent and gregarious twins. He graduated ROTC from UNH as the Cadet Colonel in 1954 and served in the US Air Force as a navigator stationed at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod.

Dennis and Jessie lived in Falmouth for more than 40 years. Mr. Comolli taught biology and physiology at Falmouth High School for 35 years. He was the girls tennis coach and a lover of most sports. He was a football and basketball referee. He was also a dedicated baseball umpire and continued to work games well into his 70’s. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan and often boasted that he called balls and strikes at the plate behind catcher, Jason Varitek at spring training.

Mr. Comolli always had a story to tell, and if you were meeting him for the first time, he would most likely know someone that you know. In recent years he kept his scientific mind sharp by focusing on Tuesday afternoon card games with his buddies at Farmwood Village in Dover.
