Douglas James Guilmette, 59, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away Thursday evening, February 13, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Nashua on June 26, 1960, he was one of eight children of Virginia (Dwyer) Guilmette and the late Edward R. Guilmette. Doug was educated in the Nashua School System and prior to his illness, had been employed with Fimbel Door, the former J.F. McElwain Shoe Company and Colonial Electronic Manufacturing, Inc. Doug enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing in his leisure time.
In addition to his father, he was also predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Edward and Bertha (Pelletier) Guilmette; maternal grandparents, Augustus Dwyer and Thelma (Smith) Dwyer Faucher; and his niece, Allison Rose Guilmette.
Members of his family include his mother, Virginia Guilmette; five brothers, Robert Guilmette, Darren Guilmette and his wife Jennifer, Ricky Guilmette, Randy Guilmette and Todd Guilmette; two sisters, Brenda Guilmette and her significant other, Dan Jamieson, and Pamela Guilmette; also aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph Hospital and Dr. Donald B. McDonah for their care and kindness to Doug during his illness.
