Douglas Wayne McAlexander, 74, of Wilton, NH passed away peacefully at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH on the evening of October 19, 2025.  He was married to Paulette (Urspruch) in May 2001.

A resident of Wilton, NH for the past 25 years, he was born in Auburn, Nebraska on Feb 24, 1951.  Doug was one of 5 children of the late Gerri & Harvey McAlexander.  He resided in Nebraska for most of his life.  He attended Tecumseh grade school and high school, graduating in 1969.

During his working career, he worked for Campbell’s Soup Company for 25yrs, Mederer, and   Sunhusker before moving to New Hampshire. In NH he worked for ServiceMaster/Aramark, Crotched Mountain Rehab, Hesser College, Label Art, and BAE before retiring.

Doug is survived by his wife, Paulette of Wilton, NH, Brother Greg & Sharon of Nebraska City, NE, Sisters Pat Nohavec of Castle Rock, CO, Kathy & John Schultz of Omaha, NE and Darla & Doug Peterson of Punta Gordo, FL.  He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews and 20 great-nieces and nephews.

Doug’s passion was making people laugh.  He loved telling jokes and stories. He also enjoyed dressing up as Santa for his nieces and nephews.  He never met a stranger.  His yearly passion was Halloween, and he decorated the yard with a multitude of objects, mostly inflatables and lights that the whole neighborhood enjoyed.  His favorite place to vacation was Disney.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and cooking.
