   Gerard F. “Jerry” Pombrio, 82, of Litchfield, NH, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 25, 2024 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health.  

    Born in Nashua on December 29, 1941, he was a son of the late Gerard Pombrio and Lorraine Pombrio Oban. Jerry was also predeceased by his stepfather, William Oban and his stepmother, Rita Pombrio.

     Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1960. Jerry had been employed with Anheuser Busch in Merrimack as a fork-lift operator for over thirty years. Jerry enjoyed golf and was a fan of the Boston sports teams. He also took pride in caring for his lawn and landscaping at his home.

    Members of his family include his wife of 60 years, Doreen S. (O’Loughlin) Pombrio; his daughters, Kimberly Cushman of Litchfield and Heather Racicot and her husband John of Nashua; three grandchildren, Nathan Cushman and his wife Meredith of Manchester, Rachyl Cushman of Candia and Drew Bedard of Nashua; a great-grandson, Oakley Cushman of Manchester; a brother, Bruce Pombrio and his wife Marge of Florida; a sister, Gail Crosby and her husband Steve of Nashua; also nieces, nephews and cousins.

     There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery, 71 Derry Road, Route 102 in Hudson, Saturday, August 31st at 11 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend. Donations may be made in his memory to the Community Hospice House or Home Health & Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH  03054. My deepest sympathy to Doreen,Kim and Heather on the passing of your husband and Father. I met the Pombrio family while working at Alec's Shoe Store in Nashua NH. They are a wonderful family. Cherish the memories and he will be surely missed

Doreen I was sorry to hear about Jerry’s passing I member the last time I saw you and Jerry was down at the Lahey clinic. I lost my wife year and a half ago. It’ll be rough but it works. I see he’s going to be buried at Saint Pats. That’s where Kathy is buried and where I’m gonna be with my parents and grandparents Will pray for you and Jerry OK dodo

Sorry to hear of your loss. Years ago we worked together at Nashua Memorial Hospital. We were young and families just starting. Time does go by quickly. Take care of yourself.

Doreen, My deepest sympathy. Jerry and I first met playing Little League Baseball together in 1952. Many years later, you were Tess's Maid of Honor at our wedding (49 years ago). I shall always keep those memories in my heart. May God Bless you.
