Jerry Jean owned and operated a perfectly amazing shop, Noel's Music Store in Keene, New Hampshire. It was the place to go and quite legendary on its own merits. In addition, many of us knew that this was the store where John Sebastian, later of the rock band the Lovin' Spoonful, hung out in his boyhood days of summer camp in Keene. Noel's was a congenial spot for music fans in southwestern New Hampshire and nearby. To this day, I treasure recordings I bought there by local to international musicians. Some of the records Noel's stocked you just didn't find anywhere else. Singles by Smokey Greene, an album by Joy Goodnow, and a long out-of-print live LP by Rick Nelson come quickly to mind. Jerry Jean did an outstanding job and he was a real treasure. May he rest in peace.

Sending condolences and our love to the Jean family from ours. Myself and my two children were students of Peter and we have always thought highly of him. Hoping to send a bright light in these days and moments of mourning. Sending our prayers, Shane, Marissa and Shea Milley
