   Gloria M.J. Giel, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 95.           

   A longtime resident of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Gloria shared forty-eight beautiful years of marriage with her loving and devoted husband Walter.  

   She worked for 18 years at Nashua Corporation in the computer products division where she was known for her hard work and kind spirit. Outside of work, she had a passion for sewing, bird watching and crafting. But above all, Gloria cherished the time spent with her family, which brought her the greatest joy.     

   Gloria was a loving mother to five children, two of whom preceded her in death, Daniel and Gerard Raby. She is survived by her husband “Wally” and three children, Denise Grant, Maurice Raby and Michelle Pellerin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; all of whom brought her immense pride and happiness and memories she created with them. Gloria’s gentle spirit, strong Catholic faith and creative soul left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. 

    Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Monday afternoon, April 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Baboosic Lake Road in Merrimack, Tuesday, April 29th at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, Tuesday afternoon 1 p.m. Friends are invited to attend. My sincerest condolences to Michelle, Denise Maurice in the loss of their mother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
