Pat, I only learned of Jim's homegoing through the Lehigh Alumni magazine. Evy and I want to express our condolences at your loss. Jim was a good friend and valued roommates through our years at Lehigh. Staying in touch over the years since graduation was a special bond. We treasure your last visit with us in Illinois. I regale my grandsons with stories of the antics we got up to at Lehigh.

Dear Pat, our condolences and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. Although we have only met very recently during Sunday School, we witnessed the love and dedication you had for your husband during his illness. May your strength be made perfect in Him. Your brother and sister, The Smiths

Jim was one of the Deacons who interviewed and affirmed my call to be a Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) licenses preacher in 2002 at Nashua Baptist Church ( I was a member then). I remember him asking me this question during my affirmation by the NBC deacons "Will you still continue to preach even if we do not license you?" And of course I said "yes, it's my call." Then he said, "I affirm you with a yes." I am still in ministry till this day! I loved his trumpet playing as well in the praise team! We will all miss him and will see him again in Paradise!

Jim was my friend and my last manager at BAE Systems, where he led the Market Intelligence team, of which I was a member. I had known him casually for a few years before that. I hold him in high regard. I will miss our occasional phone chats and the puns he posted on Facebook. I am so happy that I talked to him recently while he was in hospice. My condolences to Pat and their family.
