James F. Gallagher Jr., 51, of Nashua and formerly of Hollis, passed away at his home, early Saturday morning, August 22, 2015.

   Born in Nashua on October 3, 1963, he is the son of Patricia A. (Moriarty) Gallagher and the late James F. Gallagher Sr. who passed away in January 2011. During his youth, Jimmy resided in Hollis and was a graduate of Hollis High School Class of 1981. He furthered his education at New Hampton Prep School and went on to study business at Northeastern University in Boston.

   Jimmy was influential in starting the family business, where he traveled New England working in sales at Gallagher & Company of Nashua.

   Jimmy never missed a day of reading The Boston Herald, The New York Post and The Daily News and was very active in political talk radio. Growing up, he spent his summers at his family camp on Lake Cobbosseecontee, and he and his children spent their summers at the family home in Kennebunkport, Maine. His legacy will be passing on his adoration and passion for the Grateful Dead to his children. Jimmy created wonderful memories for his children by extending every winter vacation with his entire family, traveling to a different exotic location every year.

    In addition to his mother, Patricia A. Gallagher, members of his family include his children, Hailey Marrin Gallagher and James F. Gallagher III; the beloved mother of his children, Kathleen Marrin McCoy; his three sisters, Sheila Gallagher, Patrice Sabbagh and her husband John, and Kathleen Gallagher; three nieces, Orianna Clark Bennett and her husband Joe, Alicia Rose (Sabbagh Jansen and her husband Sherick, and Hillary Patrice Sabbagh; and a grandnephew, Kirby Wade Lossee.

    Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, Thursday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
