Janet Claire Christie 63, loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, was taken from us suddenly on Sunday February 22, 2015. She was born in Nashua on July 28, 1951 a daughter of the late David P. and Jeannette A. (Robertson) Christie. Janet graduated from Nashua High School, class of 1969, and Houle’s Academy of Beauty. For the past twenty one years, Janet was employed as a medical administrative assistant for the St. Joseph Family Medical Group in Hudson.
Janet was devoted to her family and cherished her friends. She enjoyed working with The Actor Singers for many years, as well as ushering for The Peterborough Players. Janet loved to travel and could always be counted on to ride shotgun on family “Road Trips.”
Janet is survived by two sisters, Jeanne Mithen of Topeka, KS, and JoAnn Grygorcewicz of Nashua, NH, two brothers, John Christie and his wife Debbie of Goffstown, NH, and Jay Christie of Peoria, AZ, two nieces Karen Tlili and her husband Hamdi of Waltham, MA, and Vicki Grygorcewicz of Nashua, NH, two nephews Brian Mithen of Topeka, KS, and Edward Grygorcewicz and his wife Nicki of Gibsonton, FL, and three grand nephews, Max and Sam Grygorcewicz, and Haitham Tlili .
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua, Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson. Friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Donations may be made in her memory to the Actor Singers Scholarship Fund, 219 Lake Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
