Jeanette L. Muise, 93, of Nashua, wife of Francis J. Muise, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 25, 2024 at Langdon Place.
Born in East Boston, Massachusetts on November 2, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Irene (Boudreau) Landry. Jeanette was a graduate of Holy Redeemer Central High School in East Boston, Class of 1948. She furthered her education at Salem State College now known as Salem State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in education.
A devoted wife and full-time mother, Jeanette also taught at St. James School in Arlington, MA for a time.
Jeanette resided in East Boston and Arlington, MA before moving to Nashua, NH where she has made her home for many years. She and her husband also enjoyed winters at Marco Island, Florida.
Members of her family include her husband, Francis, with whom she shared 71 years together; her five children, Irene and Robert Prendergast, John Muise and his wife Barbara, Robert Muise and his wife Janet, and twins Thomas Muise and Timothy Muise; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Julie and Jeffrey Neal, Robert and Lin Prendergast, Kimberly Muise, Keith and Susan Muise, Jason and Kathy Muise, Kelly Provost, Kasey Muise, Patrick “PJ” Muise and Sarah Muise; many great-grandchildren; her brother, Bill Landry and his wife Annette; also nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Melvina and Art Doyle, Claire and Bill Kelley, and Audrey and Stan Boudreau; and her great-grandson, Leon Prendergast.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, Thursday, May 30th at 11 a.m. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Louis Cemetery.
