Jeanne A. (Demers) O’Loughlin, 87, formerly of Hudson, NH, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester, following a short period of declining health.

She was born on March 29, 1929 in Manchester, NH, daughter of the late Alma M. (Lesmerises) and Paul F. Demers. Jeanne was married the late Thomas J. O’Loughlin, Jr. on June 10, 1950.

Jeanne grew up in Nashua with her eight siblings, and eventually settled in Hudson with her husband where she raised four children. She was also a summertime resident of Wells, Maine and most recently lived at Atria Kennebunk in Kennebunk, Maine where she enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends and always had a puzzle in the works in her apartment.

As a young woman, Jeanne was an active participant in the St. John The Evangelist Ladies Guild organizing and participating in such events as clothing drives, whist parties, Christmas Fairs and carnivals. She also put in many hours in the office on bingo nights. Jeanne volunteered with the local Girl Scouts at summer camp, the New Hampshire Red Cross registering donors at blood banks, the Oblate Retreat House and St. Kathryn’s Church.

Jeanne was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who took great care of and pride in her children and grandchildren. There wasn’t anything “Grammy” wouldn’t do for her grandchildren. Her favorite time of year was Christmas where she could shower her family and friends with the blessings of the season. She was a people person and made friends easily which she kept throughout her lifetime. She will be truly missed.

I'd like to express deep sympathy for loss of your loved one. I hope and pray this message bring comfort and soothe the pain that you are experiencing at this time. What has help me to cope and deal with lost a love one is found God's Word the Bible in Psalms 113:5-8 "Who is like Jehovah our God, The one who dwells on high? 6 He stoops down to look on heaven and earth, 7 Raising the lowly from the dust. He lifts up the poor from the ash heap 8 In order to make him sit with nobles, With nobles of his people." You can find similar comforting verses in the website jw.org.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Jeanne. From childhood to my most recent visits with her. She was always welcoming and interested in what I was doing and how my family was. She was a thoughtful, loving, generous Aunt and Godmother who's love and kindness has impacted my life in so many ways. I am grateful to have had her in my life and will miss her dearly.

Debbie, Amy, Tommy, Matthew: Our sincere sympathy to you all on the passing of your Mother. If we don't seem familiar to you, your Dad was Carol's beloved cousin, my mother's maiden name was O'Loughlin. Your Mom was always very loving and dear to me and my parents. We would visit you all often for many years when you all were just kids in Hudson. In fact, as kids you all attended my and Bob's wedding 43 years ago. It is comforting now to know your Dad and Mom are reunited together as they were in their endearing life. Although many years have passed when we were closer, we feel your loss deeply.
