Jeanne T. (Morin) Nadeau, 85, of Nashua, wife of Albert A. Nadeau, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, May 11, 2015 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua after a period of declining health.
A lifelong resident of the French Hill neighborhood of this city, Jeanne was born in Nashua on September 20, 1929 a daughter of the late Alexis and Jeannette (Martel) Morin. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Cecile and Raymond LeMay; and her step-mother, Alice Morin.
Members of her family include her husband “Al” whom she married on September 14, 1968 and shared over 46 years together; many nieces and nephews including, Janet Ann LeMay, Theresa (LeMay) Taylor and a very caring niece and nephew, Paula and Wayne Reynolds; a special cousin, Priscilla Morin along with many other cousins. She and Al were blessed with an extended family, Carol and Michael Mullan and their sons, Michael Jr. and James. She also had six god-children and many grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
She was educated in local schools and was a communicant of Infant Jesus Church and the former St. Francis Xavier Church. Jeanne had been employed with Nashua Corporation for twenty five years.
Fondly known as “Aunt Jeanne” to everyone, she was an avid card player and an excellent cook who will be remembered for her awesome whoopie pies and biscuits. Aunt Jeanne’s biscuits became famous at the Rodonis Farm Stand during Strawberry season for Strawberry Shortcakes. Jeanne also loved children and enjoyed providing childcare for many family members and friends.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John XXIII Parish at Infant Jesus Church, 121 Allds Street, Nashua, Tuesday May 19th at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Saint John XXIII “Parish Wish List” to meet necessary building improvements; donations received by May 31st will be matched by an anonymous donor.
