   Jeannette A. Crippen Hassey-Putnam, 91, of Nashua, passed away Tuesday morning, July 5, 2016 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health. Jeannette was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Crippen Jr., Nassib Hassey and Luther S. Putnam.

    A resident of Nashua for more than 50 years, Jeannette was born in Westbrook, Maine on December 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Flora (Pomerleau) Roberge; and was educated Westbrook schools. A homemaker to her family, she also worked in the cotton mills in Maine, J.F. McElwain Shoe Company and Bemis Bag both in Nashua for a number of years.

    Jeannette was a very outgoing person who enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, square dancing, candlepin bowling and Whitewater Rafting. She also loved traveling Worldwide including Australia and thirteen cruises; and going to the casino’s in Connecticut. Her greatest enjoyment was family outings and special time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church.                    

     In addition to her husbands and parents, Jeannette was predeceased by her brother, Maurice Roberge; and her longtime friend and companion, Armand J. Desautels Jr.

     Members of her family include three daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Maurice Levesque of Nashua, Gloria and Donald Courtemanche of Derry and Celeste and Gordon Fuller of Denmark, Maine; five grandchildren, Kerry Clancy and her husband Christopher, Kristie Cardullo and her husband Matthew, Eric Levesque and his wife Julie, Craig Levesque and Matthew Fuller; seven great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Germaine and Marty Grant of Westbrook, ME; also many nieces and nephews.

     Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Saturday, July 9th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home at Noon. Family and friends are invited to attend. Donations may be made in her memory to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. Kerry, you were right. She is an amazing woman whose life was well lived. While she will be sadly missed, I hope when you gather later, only wave upon wave of sweet memories will lift the family spirit. I can only imagine how heaven is rejoicing at the entrance of this remarkable soul. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.
