
With great sadness we must share the passing of Jed Ober Darling, 53, on June 18, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, Massachusetts. Jed was born February 3, 1972, in Nashua, and celebrated his first birthday in Hollis at his family’s new home on Hayden Road.
Jed attended school in Hollis and graduated from Hollis High School in 1990. He discovered in 6th grade he had a natural skill understanding Computers – and assisted in introducing and teaching the lower grades.
Jed’s career was in Technical Support. He took several workshops and online courses to gain knowledge and experience. A major accomplishment was achieved by completing the Microsoft Network and Security Engineer Program at Boston University in 2003.
Jed was a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, Dr. Who – he made his own TARDIS -, Scuba Diving with his brother in Mexico, Jeeps – most of his vehicles were Jeep Cherokees – and of course tagging along on the adventures of his mom!! Jed had many life-long friends, and special friends at Penuche’s Ale House in Nashua – Steve, Lisa, and Paige.
Jed was pre-deceased by his father, David Darling, and his grandparents: Willis and Dorothy Ober, and Philip and Margarita Darling. Jed is survived by his mom, Susan Ober Darling, his sister, Carrie Brown Winslow, his brother, Seth Ober Darling, his nephew, Justin Brown, and a great nephew, Montgomery Brown.
A private family burial will be at the Ober Lot, New Hampton Cemetery, near his grandparents.
