   Joel Maurice Levesque, 60, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, November 14, 2015.

    The only son of the late Maurice H. and Irene M. (Fortier) Levesque, he was born in Nashua on January 8, 1955. Educated in local schools, Joel was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1973. After serving a tour with the U.S. Navy, Joel   continued his education at Hesser College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.

   In his career he was involved in retail sales, management and recruitment.  From childhood, Joel loved to sing. He was a naturally gifted musician with a beautiful, soulful, bluesy voice. At gatherings he could often be found harmonizing with friends and family. He played guitar and harmonica and relished jamming with family and friends. His musical taste ran the gamut from musical theatre to The Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash, James Taylor, the Eagles, Joni Mitchell and Alison Kraus. Most important to Joel was his family who will remember him for his incredible sense of humor and his generosity which knew no bounds.

    Members of his family include his cherished and only child, daughter Joanna Noelle Levesque of LA, CA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Donna Maurene Costa of Punta Gorda, FL, Sally Trombley and Wilfried Römmisch of Nashua and Martha L. and Frederick S. Pepek II of Hooksett; also nieces and nephews and an extensive extended family.

    Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Saturday, November 21st from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. followed by A Celebration of Life service at 2:30 p.m. The family has requested that donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice.
