John H. “Jack” Boland, Jr., 90, of Nashua, passed away Thursday evening, June 23, 2022 after a brief period of declining health.

Born in Concord, NH on January 22, 1932, he was the son of the late John Henry and Elma (Wallace) Boland. Jack was a graduate of the Concord High School Class of 1949 and served with the US Navy for four years during the Korean War. Following his military service, he continued his education at the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 1958 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

After moving to Nashua in 1958, Jack began his career with the former Edgcomb Steel of New England, where he served as Treasurer, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for 26 years. The couple recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

In his spare time, Jack enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling with Joanne, reading, fixing things around the house, lunch at Wendy’s before golf, and, most of all, making people laugh.

I just saw the obituary. Sorry for your loss. The Exchange Club may be gone, but the memories live on. I miss seeing people I know at Parish of the Rez. I don't get there as much as I should, but it was always good to see you parents there

Joanne and Family My wife Dorothy and I reside at Seagate Manor Condominium in Delray Beach, FL. We have known Jack over the past 20 years and appreciated his wonderful friendly manner and extraordinary service to the Condominium in helping to manage Board finances over many years on the Finance Committee. His life was exemplary and deeply appreciated by Dorothy and me. We will miss his presence and share in your sense of loss of a life well lived.

Joanne and family, I was so sorry to hear of Jack's passing and sorry that I saw the obituary after the calling hours were past. I had known Jack since the late 80's, first in the Nashua Investment Club, and later on the Hunt Community board which Jack nominated me for. I continued on to the Huntington board and was glad to hear he had lived there for 9 years. He was a wonderful man and always just great to be around.

John & family, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Hopefully in time, the sting of the moment evolves into something bittersweet, with memories of the good times. 90 years is a good run, and I'm sure that you find comfort in that.

I am saddened to hear of Jack passing. I had the privilege of knowing Jack when he was with Law Warehouses and Reality. He was always a gentleman and one of the kindest people I dealt with regarding his automotive needs. His wife Joanne was equally pleasant and wonderful. My sympathy to Joanne and his family. God Bless.

Joanne and family, I want to extend my deepest condolences to you all. I first met Jack over 60 years ago when I worked summers in the accounting department at Edgcomb. The picture of Jack is exactly how I remember him. Joanne, I know that my parents, Caryl and Earl, considered you to be wonderful friends. I have thought of you and Jack fondly over the years and send fondest regards now.
