Jonathan Bowden Dufoe, 62, of Nashua, passed away Tuesday evening, February 26, 2019. Jonathan was the beloved son of the late Doris (Bowden) Dufoe and Joseph “Wizz” Dufoe. Jon was born in Glendale, California on October 19, 1956 and resided with his parents in Chatsworth, California until their move back to Nashua in the early 60’s. He resided with his parents in Hudson for most of his life and more recently at Harbor Homes in Nashua after the passing of his father. Jon was educated at Mount Hope School and had been employed at Benchmark in Nashua through The Plus Company until his retirement. After his retirement he continued a social life at The Plus Company. Through this agency he made many good friends and relationships.
After the passing of his mother, Jon and his father became the best of friends and enjoyed The Red Sox, The Patriots and socializing with others. He loved music, sing alongs and dancing. He enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk Show, The Three Stooges and his favorite game shows. Jonathan loved people and had a strong zest for life.
Members of his family include his aunts and uncles, Norma Porter of Bradenton, FL, Charles Dufoe, Earl and Pauline Dufoe, David Dufoe, William and Margaret Dufoe, James and Stephanie Dufoe all of Nashua, and numerous cousins, many of whom he grew up with.
Jonathan’s family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers who supported Jon at the end of his life. They would also like to thank the staff and caregivers of The Plus Company for their genuine kindness, friendship and caring support throughout his life. They, along with his parents, raised quite a gentleman.
The family will receive friends at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday morning, March 7th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of His Life at 11 o’clock. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jonathan’s name to The Plus Company, 19 Chestnut Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
