Judith H. Briand, 68, of Nashua, wife of Raymond M. Briand, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, November 8, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
A native of Nashua, she was born on November 10, 1946, daughter of the late Henry L. “Huck” and Stella (Pietkavich) Stanulonis. Educated in local schools, Judy was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1965.
Judy was a self-employed cosmetologist with her own salon for 34 years, retiring in 2013. Judy was also an accomplished organist that she began playing at the age of 13. She played for several churches in the Nashua area including the former St. Stanislaus Church where she played the old Pipe organ for over 50 years.
Members of her family include her husband of 46 years, Raymond M. Briand of Nashua; two daughters, Heidi Lake and her husband Randy of Panama City, FL and Victoria “Tori” Briand; three grandchildren, Brendan, Ashlyn and Cailyn Lake; and her sister, Ellen “Ellie” Stanulonis of Bristol, NH. In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her nephew, Jody M. Stanulonis.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday, November 12th from 3 to 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph The Worker Church, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
