Judith Mary (Gay) Pelletier, 69, of Hudson, wife of Michael R. Pelletier, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 15, 2016 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, with her loving family by her side, after a brief illness.
A daughter of the late George Ollie and Priscilla G. (Mears) Gay, she was born in Nashua on August 1, 1946. Judy was educated in the Nashua School System and was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Judy loved spending time with her family and also loved cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, shopping and was an avid Bingo player.
Members of her family include her husband of 50 years, Michael Richard Pelletier, whom she married on February 19, 1966; three daughters, Lesa Pelletier of Manchester, Milynda Marr and her fiancé Thomas Bean of Hudson, and Karena Carten and her husband Leo J. Carten of Litchfield; four grandchildren, Nolan Marr, Elizabeth Marr, Leo M. Carten and Caleb Carten; four sisters, Sue Ann Southworth and her husband Cliff of Springfield, MA, Mary Jane Dalphond and her husband Raymond Dalphond Jr. of Kissimmee, FL, Pamela Pelletier and her husband Dennis of Manchester, and Carleen Frazier of Nashua; also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, One Sterling Road in Litchfield, NH, Friday morning at 10 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Following cremation, interment will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date.
