Kara Leigh Ngoon, 37, of Mountain View, California and formerly of Hudson, NH, passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 27th after a short illness.

Kara was born in Nashua on May 15, 1983 and grew up in Hudson. As a child, she enjoyed playing in Brookfield Village, a fictitious town built by the imagination of her sister and neighborhood friends. She enjoyed the days catching tadpoles, frogs and crayfish at “The Crayfish Pond.” She loved winters in NH and enjoyed sledding with the same neighborhood friends, most of whom she remained friends with into adulthood. As Kara got older, she enjoyed playing softball and learning Karate at Independent Karate Schools in Hudson and Nashua, and eventually earned her black belt. Kara was a Girl Scout in Hudson with fond memories of the wacky trip through Pennsylvania, wilderness camping and cross-country skiing. Kara always had a great love for animals, worked at Pet Smart throughout high school where she became friends with a group of like-minded animal lovers, still known as the “The Kliq”.

Kara graduated from Alvirne High School in 2001. After high school, Kara attended UNH and earned an Associate Degree in Business. After college, she worked for many years with her dad, at Chicken n Chips in downtown Nashua. In her late twenties, Kara moved cross country, staying with her Uncle Kalvin and Aunt Sandie Ngoon. She eventually settled in Mountain View, California, where she met and entered into a loving relationship with Nathan Edwards. While living in California, Kara enjoyed spending time with her family who resided there. She particularly loved holiday celebrations, especially Thanksgiving, at her Aunt and Uncle’s house where she would also be joined by her many cousins. Kara also developed a passion for playing pool and enjoyed karaoke with Nathan.

Kara loved her family. She was always a particularly cheerful tour guide when she had visitors from the east coast. When she traveled back east, Kara loved introducing Nathan to all things New England, such as Old Sturbridge Village, the city of Salem, and Downtown Boston, where naturally they visited Cheers.

Kara had a very kind and gentle soul and would do anything to help a friend in need. She will be remembered and sorely missed by many. She is survived by her boyfriend, Nathan Edwards; her parents, Kenneth and Maryann Ngoon; her grandmother, Man Ling Ngoon; her sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Daniel Marrone; and her two nephews, Giacomo and Giorgio Marrone. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will also miss her and remember her with love.

Due to the current pandemic, services will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
