She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loving family on Thursday September 6, 2018. A resident of Hudson since 1993, Karen was born in Medford, MA on April 3, 1952. Karen was the daughter of the late Mr. Eric Moore and Mrs. Thelma Moore. Karen grew up in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School.

Karen was a dental assistant for years. When her children were young she drove the school bus for over 20 years. Later in life Karen worked at Market Basket as a cashier which she loved as she met many people and chatted with all who came through her line. Karen was always loving and caring to all those she met.

Karen loved spending time with her daughter Melissa Seccareccio and her husband James Seccareccio and her son Eric Herland and his fiancé Gabrielle Reynolds. She adored her 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Colby and Hannah Seccareccio and Kaliana Brielle Herland. She loved laughing and being silly with her two sisters Laurie Allen and Sandi Carpenter. Karen looked forward to her trips to Kennebunk beach with her sisters, late mother and late friend Gloria. She loved splashing in her pool with her family and friends. Karen and her late husband, Ricky, often took trips to the ocean, even in storms. She enjoyed Plum Island and Salisbury beach every chance she could. Karen had a passion for horses and German shepherds. She loved riding her horse Dexter and caring for her 3 beloved German Shepard’s, Charger, Shannon and Dakota.
Karen was a devote Christian and was strong in her faith. She was active in her church and shared the good news of Jesus with everyone she could. Karen loved all people and was a blessing to so many.

Karen loved her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Sunday afternoon, September 9th from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 4 o’clock. Karen and I were very close in High School, but starting careers and families, is very tough. I didn't stay close to Wilmington, I will miss her so much. She and I had many classes together and we talked about everything and we just got silly together!! I will remember her smile and all the funny things we did together. Thanks for always being the wonderful person always. I could always get great advice if I needed it. We had so very funny lunches together!!

To the family my deepest condolences on your loss. The hope ahead is very important and comforting. The account of our Lord Jesus Christ in John chapter 11 can be such a source of comfort. Here Jesus ressurected his dear friend Lazarus who had passed away for days. Jesus even wept over his passing even though having the power from his father to raise him up. I hope this account and many more will be helpful in the days ahead. Once again my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Karen I loved working with you at MB. You were such a nice person you always talked to everyone in good spirit Alway saw the positive in everyone and and everything. You eyes got bad but you did let that stop you from working or bring you down. Alway gave me a hug when I came into work and many others. You were such a loving person everyone needed a hug from you when the came through you home call is mine you brighten everyone's day in good spirit. I used to love giving you rides home and meeting a German Shepherd you loved your dog he was your baby. You were a true keeper of the faith and a dear and trusted friend who had the good sense to marry my nephew. Regardless of what life threw at you. you clung to your powerful beliefs. You and Rick blessed so many people. Because of you I am now saved. YOU AND I WERE PRAYER PARTNERS FOR MANY YEARS. I know you were tired and missed Ricky so much. I carry you both in my heart and will be lonely until we meet again. Love you, Aunt Lois
