I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Karlene's family and friends. You will be miss a great deal. I loved your strength of character, your super human skills as an IV nurse. We (Christ and I) had more laughs working together than any comedy show out there. Even though your hearing was fading you made up with your ability to listen to any of us, with your heart, never judging and when appropriate offering solutions. I also, always admired your unparalleled love of your dogs, they were so lucky to have you. May you rest in peace my friend.

To the family and friends of Karlene, I had the privelege to work with Karlene, the last few years, she worked on the Vascular Access Team. We were very lucky to have her, after she resigned from the ER. We will always remember her for her kindness and caring ways with the patients at the Beth Israel Lahey Hospital ! She was also more than a colleague! She was a good friend. We continued to stay in touch after her retirement, and she was able to join me and a few friends the last 2 summers at the Lake! I send my deepest condolences for your loss. Karlene was truly special, and she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, during this very sad and difficult time.

Karlene was a wonderful, giving, thoughtful person. We shared many laughs together and I will treasure those moments forever. She was a great friend that I will miss so much. I just can’t believe she is gone. I’m so glad I had a chance to get together with her couple weeks ago. I just didn’t get to have enough time with her. She was the best dog mom ever. She gave them the love they deserved. She came so far with Chase, hopefully someone else can have the patience and love for him that she gave him. I’m so blessed to have had her for a friend.
