  Kenneth I. Walter, 67, of Hudson, NH, died at his home early Sunday morning, July 26, 2015. He was the husband of Carol (Fuller) Webster with whom he shared the last 12 and ½ years.

   Born in Charleston, South Carolina on April 2, 1948, he was a son of the late Kenneth R. and Mary (McKinney) Walter.  Ken was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1966 and was an Army Veteran, serving three tours in Vietnam from 1966 to 1970.

    Prior to his retirement, Ken was employed by Van Pak Trucking of Springfield, Massachusetts. A member of the National Rifle Association, he enjoyed going to a gun range with his friends. A man of many talents, Ken enjoyed building and flying experimental airplanes, working on antique cars and most recently building guitars.

    Most important to him was spending time with his family and friends, especially with his two daughters. Ken was known to be a “Man who had a way with words” which kept everyone who knew him very amused.

    In addition to his wife Carol; members of his family include his brother Joseph Walter and his wife Margie  of Morning View, Kentucky; his daughters, Emily Karr-Walter and her fiancé Joseph Kimmel of Marlborough, MA and Melissa Karr-Walter and her fiancé Christopher Demicco  of Hooksett, NH; a stepson, Carl Webster Jr. and his wife Diana Simonetti of Nashua and step-daughter, Wendy Clark and her husband David Clark of Hudson, NH; two step-grandchildren, Courtney Clark and Christopher Clark of Hudson, NN.; two nephews and many cousins. Ken is also survived by his favorite companion “Sadie” his Great Pyrenees that he adopted from the National Great Pyrenees Rescue four years ago. 

     Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday evening July 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by a Celebration of His Life beginning at 8 o’clock. The Rev. David L. Howe will officiate. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Great Pyrenees Rescue, Beacon, NY 43603..
