Leona G. (Rollins) Fredette, 72, of Wilton, NH and Otis Field, Maine, wife of Walter J. Fredette, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 12, 2023 at the Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, ME after a period of declining health.
Born in Nashua on August 9, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Ruth Frances (Ford) and Irvine “Sonny” Rollins, Jr.
Members of her family include her husband Walter, whom she married on July 9, 1969 and shared the past 53 years together; her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Karen Fredette; two grandchildren, Austin Fredette and Brandon Carter; a brother, Wesley Rollins; three sisters, Janet Laferriere, Susan Bergeron and Roberta Worth; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Leona was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Monica Lynne Morgan-Fredette; and sisters, Cynthia Beaulieu, Lucy Duff and Jacqueline Fernald.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday evening, April 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. Her graveside service will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 Kinsley Street, Nashua, Saturday morning, April 22nd at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and meet at the cemetery.
