Lorraine Elsie Tennant, 86, of Nashua, passed away peacefully at her home, Monday afternoon, June 18, 2018.
A resident of Nashua since 1987, Mrs. Tennant was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 19, 1931, a daughter of the late Edward James and Elsie (Wells) Burke. During her youth, she resided in Brighton, MA and was a graduate of Brighton High School, Class of 1950. Lorraine later made her home in Allston, MA for several years and was employed with the Barry – Wright Controls Corporation of Watertown, MA for 16 years. In her leisure time, Lorraine loved knitting and making bonnets for newborns.
Members of her family include her son, William M. Tennant Jr. and his significant other, Darlene Goldman of Nashua; a daughter, Brenda J. Tennant and her husband William Franks of Merrimack; four grandchildren, William M. Tennant III, Sgt. Christopher Tennant, (US Army), Stefanie Chicuer and her husband Jalil, and Michele Brown; seven grandchildren, Malik and Amira Chicuer, Talan Marcotte, Katelyn Carter, Kolbey, Kinley and Konley Tennant; a sister, Lesta Ringer of Victorville, CA; a cousin Rosalind Zoufaly, a longtime registered nurse who took care of Lorraine during her last days; also nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life is being planned, the time and place will be announced. Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE, 18 Lock Street, Nashua.
