Lucille G. (Diggins) Clark, 89, of Nashua, widow of George H. Clark Jr., passed away early Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017 at the Maple Leaf Healthcare Center in Manchester, after a period of declining health.
A lifelong resident of this city, Mrs. Clark was born on July 8, 1927, one of ten children of the late Albert and Delima (Levesque) Diggins. She attended Nashua schools and had been employed with the former International Shoe Company, Doehla Greeting Card Company and Dr. Crisp School.
Lucille and her husband George were married on October 4, 1947 and shared nearly 33 years together until his passing on August 22, 1980. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Albert Diggins Jr. and Daniel Diggins.
Members of her family include her daughters, Judith Froment of Nashua and Patricia Geer and her husband Bruce of Hudson; four grandchildren, Matthew Froment and his wife Jennie Lynn of Manchester; Nathan Froment and his wife Stephanie of Nashua; Amy Geer of Milton, MA; and Shannon Lacasse and her husband Patrick of Hudson; six great-grandchildren, Kendall and Kayleigh Froment of Nashua; Zaccary and Riley Lacasse of Hudson; Mackenzie Johnson-Geer of Milton, MA and Emma Froment of Manchester; four brothers, Thomas Diggins of St. Cloud, FL; Roger Diggins and his wife Treva, and Roland Diggins and his wife Bernice all of Nashua, and Richard Diggins and his wife Ellen of Bedford; three sisters, Gloria Savage of Merrimack, Doris Dupont and her husband Wilfred of Nashua and Patricia Rodgers and her husband Kenneth of West Springfield, NH; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Monday evening, January 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua, Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
