Margaret Helen Fallon, 94, of Nashua, widow of John W. Fallon, passed away peacefully at her home, Wednesday morning, February 24, 2021.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on March 25, 1926, she was a daughter of the late James J. and Julia (Walsh) Ford. “Peg” was raised in and proud to have been from South Lawrence, where she attended St. Patrick School. She furthered her education at Emmanuel College in Boston, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with the Class of 1947.
Peg was a dedicated teacher for many years for the City of Lawrence. Her family was her greatest joy. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to so many. Peg was also a faithful communicant of the Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua and was a member of the Merrimack Valley Right to Life.
She traveled extensively with her husband, family and friends, including several pilgrimages which brought her great joy.
Peg and her husband Jack were married on June 9, 1951 at St. Patrick Church in Lawrence, MA and shared nearly 64 years together until his passing on April 10, 2015.
Members of her family include her six children and their spouses, John and Jane Fallon, Daniel Fallon, MaryBeth and Bill Choquette, Matthew Fallon, Julie and Richard Cotton, and Margaret Fallon and John McCormick; five grandchildren and their spouses, Julie and Sean Hennigan, Danielle and Adam Mayo, Theresa Fallon and Jon Gott, Patrick Fallon and Nicholas and Kourtney Fallon; five great-grandchildren, Joseph and Abigail Mayo, Maeve and Timothy Hennigan and Luke Fallon; a niece, Carolyn; and nephews, Michael and Mark. In addition to her husband and parents, Peg was predeceased by her siblings, James, Mary and John.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Rte. 130, Nashua, Monday, March 1st at 11 a.m. followed by interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend. The mass will be live streamed and also recorded on the church’s website at www.parishoftheresurrection.org In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Unborn, or any charity that has meaning to you.
