Marion Beverly Madigan, 82, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away Sunday morning, November 29, 2015 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare after a period of declining health.

     One of eight children of the late Edward J. and Dorris H. (Nichols) Boggis, she was born in Nashua on May 15, 1933. Educated in local schools, Marion was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1951.

     Marion began her career in the antiques business in 1955 and setup selling her wares at numerous antique shows throughout New England. She also worked as a waitress for the Knight of Columbus and Martha’s Catering.

   Active in the Democratic Party, Mrs. Madigan was a former Selectman of Nashua’s Ward Nine. 

Known for her very fashionable attire, Marion was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed Thoroughbred Horse Racing. She was a great help to friends, Bill and Bob.

    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four siblings, Earl, Edward, Dorris and Robert Boggis; and her former husband, Francis J. Madigan Jr.

   Members of her family include two daughters and their husbands, Patricia A. and Neil Ledoux and Deborah J. and Daniel Constant all of Nashua; four grandchildren, Ethan J. Ledoux and his wife Jennifer of Merrimack, Joseph A. Constant and his wife Amanda, Amie M. Constant and Nicholas D. Constant all of Nashua; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jeremy Wedig, and Amilia and Kesley Ledoux all of Merrimack; a brother, Donald Boggis and his wife Pauline of Milford; two sisters, Alice Gabriel of Nashua and Helen Jesse of Keene; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Boggis of Claremont and Rachel Boggis of Nashua; her good friend, Thomas Burns of Nashua; also many nieces and nephews.

    The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staffs of Greenbriar Terrace and Home Health & Hospice Care for their excellent care and kindness to Marion.

   Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Sunday afternoon, December 6th from 2 to 3:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:30.  The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corpus Christi Fund Pantry, 43 Franklin Street, Nashua, NH 03060 or to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
