MICHEL D. BEAUCHER

June 18, 2016
Beaucher, Michel

Michel David Beaucher, 61, of Nashua, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Saturday, June 18, 2016.

A lifelong resident of this city, Michel was born in Nashua on January 7, 1955, a son of the late Edgar L. and Cecile (Gagnon) Beaucher. He was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Nashua High School class of 1973.  While in high school, Michel discovered his passion for art and painting, something his daughter would later share with him.

Michel worked in Nashua his entire career. He was a printer at City Hall for ten years, and then a hospitality professional at the former Sheraton Tara hotel for ten years.  Lastly, he was the head maintenance professional at Boulder Park Apartments until he became disabled by a back injury.

Michel had an outgoing personality and a gift for gab!  He was a true music fanatic and loved his Grateful Dead.  Some of his favorite activities included playing thousands of cribbage games, shooting pool at local bars, and tossing horseshoes in the backyard with family and friends.  Michel spent time hiking up Pack Monadnock with his son and daughter.  The man loved his New England sports teams and watched the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins with his son. He enjoyed gardening and had a great green thumb.

Members of his family include his two beautiful children, Joshua and Jillian Beaucher whom he raised with his former wife, Ann (Anctil) Beaucher-Berube; a brother, Robert E. Beaucher and his wife LuAnn of Nashua; two sisters, Sue Anctil and her husband David of Nashua and Carol Wood of Hollis; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Christopher, Nathan, Aaron, Jessica and Jonathan; and his two cats, Angel and Yin Yang.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday June 28th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Michel would love to see everyone dressed in tie-dye clothing or very casual attire to pay your respects.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 50 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE. I never met Michel in person but we connected last Feb on facebook when I posted an old ad from Cheddies Donuts circa 1962(ish) . As it turns out I worked with his mother Cecile at Cheddies on Canal Street and later on Temple street. I'm so sorry you lost Michel at such an early age. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. The Cheddies posting is on fb under You know your from Old Nashua ..... https://www.facebook.com/groups/you.re.nashua/permalink/911745365590956/?comment_id=969182119847280&reply_comment_id=991606634271495¬if_t=group_comment_reply¬if_id=1467342736053361

I also first came to know Mike through his wonderful art in school. I always was interested to see his completed projects. He was always too modest about his great talent! He always had a smile for you when passing in the halls. My sympathy is extended to his two children and sister Carol, as well as all of his family and friends. Please try to think of the happy times and send him a smile back, you know he would like that.

To the Beaucher family Bryan and I and Rachel send our deepest condolences to the family. We became good friends with Michel in the past ten years and he was such a great person. We have had a rough week with this sudden news ,just as so many others have as well. He has made an impact in so many people's lives. His laughter, smiles, love of music, painting, playing pool and cribbage will live on in everyone's heart. We will be attending the services to pay respect for our friend. Josh and Jillian, your dad loved you two with all his heart and he always had wonderful news to share with others about you guys and all your accomplishments. He will never be forgotten, everyday there will always be a little reminder of Michel all around us ♡♡♡ R.I.P. Michel Beaucher ♡♡♡ love Bryan, Amanda & Rachel Robida

Dear Bob and family. I guess mike completed his assignment on this side of the sun. Now he has gone where angels tread and I'm sure he will be watching and doing all he can to help all of us left behind for now, until you meet again. Always in your heart...

I sat next to Mike in my Art Appreciation class at NHS, Class of '73. I remember his upbeat and positive energy, and I always looked forward to seeing him in class and in the halls. That's how vibrant his energy was . . . I still remember it all these years later. My sympathies to Bob and Carol and family.

I can't even tell you how heavy my heart is. The world has lost a beautiful soul. Of course my condolences go out to family but Mike's family was large.....he considered all of us family. That is one of the things special about Mike. He truly loved us all. And we loved him.
