Patricia A. (Powers) Smith, 59, of Londonderry, passed away at her home, Saturday morning, November 19, 2016 with her loving and caring son Joel by her side after a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Willis R. and Mildred R. (Cherry) Powers, she was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 25, 1957. Patricia grew up in Billerica, MA and was a graduate of Billerica High School Class of 1975. She also made her home in Milford, NH for several years, then Jaffrey and Peterborough for a time before moving to Londonderry.
Patricia had been employed at the Hudson Mills; The Manchester Airport, Dupont Pharmaceuticals in Billerica, MA and later with the former Kollsman Instruments in Merrimack.
A loving and devoted mother, Patricia was an excellent cook and gardener. She loved antiquing, craft fairs and yard sales.
Members of her family include her son, Joel M. Powers of Peterborough, NH; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Reed of Tecumseh, MI and Jeanne Sauve of Lake Orion, MI; her nieces and nephews, Heath Goodwin, Jeremy Goodwin, Danielle Goodell, Marcy Burnham and Jason Powers. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Willis and Mildred; and her sister, Mildred Rita Vachon, who passed away in 2005.
There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service will take place in Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua, Wednesday afternoon, November 23rd at 1:30 p.m. Donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064.
