   Paula Marie (Lavoie) Barbour, 59, a native and lifelong Nashua resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, June 2, 2016 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. Paula was very proud of being in the top 10 percentile of people diagnosed with her illness of the past 18 months.

     A daughter of Lillian G. (Manley) Lavoie and the late Joseph D. Lavoie, she was born in Nashua on March 14, 1957. Paula attended Sacred Heart School of St. Patrick’s Parish and graduated from Nashua High School Class of 1975.

    Paula had been employed as a Licensed Nurses Aide at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua for the past 30 years, where she cared for patients with Alzheimer’s Disease.

    She will be remembered as a very compassionate and special person, who loved traveling with her daughters, was an avid reader and bingo player. Paula had an incredible sense of humor and also loved animals.

     Besides her mother, Lillian G. Lavoie; Paula is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Lifland and Heather Joy Williams; daughter-in-law, Heather Lifland; her brother, Thomas J. Lavoie; her uncle, William H. Manley Jr.; a special family friend, Kathy Cotreau; and several cousins.                                       

     SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua, Wednesday June 8th at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. The family has requested that donations may be made in Paula’s memory to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
