Raymond P. Bouley, Jr., 65, of Hudson, well-known businessman, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 28, 2022 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Nashua on October 11, 1957, he was a son of the Raymond P. and Marie F. (Jeannotte) Bouley. Educated in local schools, Ray attended Nashua High School and served with the US Navy aboard the USS Dace and USS Sunfish Submarines.
Since 2011, Ray has owned and operated The White Birch Catering and Banquet Hall in Hudson along with his son, Joshua. Before that Ray was employed at Market Basket for twenty years as a Bakery Manager, working at several stores in the Nashua area. He was committed to serving the community and was involved with many charitable organizations. Donating food, time and space from his business, he regularly supported many local charities including Family Promise of Southern NH, the Southern NH Rescue Mission, American Red Cross, VFW and others. He also served as a board member of The Homestead Recovery Group, a non-profit organization that supports men in sober living. He was a member of The American Legion Post 48 and a member and past President of the Hudson Lions Club. He was honored as a Granite State Fellow by The Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of NH and a Melvin Jones Fellow by the Lions Club International Foundation.
Members of his family include his wife of 44 years, Barbara R. (Shelton) Bouley, whom he married on June 17, 1978; his sons, Joshua Bouley and his wife Michele, and Jeffrey Bouley all of Manchester; a grandson, Jacob; four brothers, Marc Bouley and his wife Barbara of Nashua, George Bouley and his wife Susan of Goffstown, Thomas Bouley of Vermont, and the late Joseph Bouley, who passed away in 2007; a sister, Sharon O’Connell and her husband John of Plymouth, MA.
He had several nieces and nephews, Brian and Danielle Bouley, Andrew and Caitlin O’Connell, Taylor and Ryan Shelton, Jonathan, Kenneth, David and Gregory Shelton and Stephanie Harkins. He also has several great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday afternoon, January 5th from 3 to 5 p.m. followed by a service at 5 o’clock. After the service, family and friends are invited to the White Birch Catering and Banquet Hall, 222 Central Street, Hudson.
