Barbara and family, Our sincere condolences from Pat and myself. I served on the Dace with Ray who was such a great guy, always appeared to be upbeat and giving (always gave me extra chocolate chip cookies!). I’m so thankful to have stopped at his catering business last March and spent (not enough) time with him. We will continue to lift you and your family up in our prayers and that God will give you a peace beyond understanding. Tom Bishop

Chris and I are so sorry for your loss. Ray was our neighbor growing up and the friendliest guy! He would never miss the chance to say hello when we would zip our bikes by him! It was always nice to catch up with him every time we came home to visit my parents. He even catered our wedding and so many commented on his kind presence (and amazing chef skills). Our thoughts are with Barbara and the family for this immeasurable loss. With love, Kathy and Chris Bizarro

Sending all my love Barb! Most of my time with Ray was at your house making us something to eat while we were hanging by the pool with a drink in our hand. He was always taking care of others because he had such a big heart. He was taken far too early my friend. So sorry for your loss.

I served with Ray aboard the USS Dace. He was a kind and generous man loved by the crew. If he was in the galley, you could be certain your day was going to start with a smile and a good meal. I was honored to be his friend and fellow crewmember he was a fine submariner!!!

Ray will always have a big place in my heart. We shared many evenings on the barge at Mare Island when we were stationed on the USS Dace, talking well into the late hours. He and Barbara opened their home for wonderful home cooked meals, including my first time ever having Yorkshire pudding. These memories are now filled with tears, the world lost a lovely human being. My heart goes out to the family.
