TELLIER, RICHARD J.

   Richard J. “Dick” Tellier, 78, of Nashua, passed away Saturday morning, March 19, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health.         

   A resident of Nashua for many years, Dick was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 27, 1943, a son of the late Omer Tellier and Yvonne (Pratt) Tellier Saucier. Educated in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School Class of 1961.

   Dick had been employed with Nashua Wallpaper and Paint Store for many years and was also a self-employed painter and wallpaper installer. He later worked as a custodian for the Nashua School Department for twenty years.

   In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his wife of 22 years, Patricia D. (Riley) Tellier who passed away March 23, 2013; his daughter, Angela B. Clegg who passed away February 25, 2022; his brothers, Omer Tellier Jr. and Armand Tellier and his wife Pat; his step-father Roger Saucier; and brother-in-law, Rene Beauregard.

   Members of his family include his daughter, Kelly Gauthier of Milford; son-in-law, Bud A. Clegg of Nashua; eight grandchildren, Jillian Cook and her husband Chris, Alex Gauthier and his wife Morgan, Jack Gauthier, Ryan Cavanaugh, Luke Cavanaugh, Liam Cavanaugh and twins Andrew Clegg and Charlie Clegg; a great-grandson, Henry Christopher Cook; a sister, Therese Beauregard; also nieces, nephews and cousins.  

   A Graveside service will take place on Saturday, April 23rd at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road in Chelmsford, MA. Dick is a sweet memory for me and my family’s years spent on Elaine Drive in Nashua. Such a great neighborhood. We had a wonderful street barbecue where the whole street plus surrounding neighbors joined to share stories. My condolences to family. Gif bless.

We were blessed to purchase our first home on Elaine Drive, and he was a great neighbor, fun loving guy with such design talent it was amazing. His kids and that street were some happy memories of the past with kids on big wheels and fun times in our pool. Our 🙏to Kelly and all the family he leaves behind. RIP Dick
