Rita F. (Waterhouse) Levesque, 76, of Nashua, wife of Rene P. Levesque, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, May 22, 2021.
A resident of Nashua for over 50 years, Rita was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on February 2, 1945, a daughter of the late Lester and Philomena (Baeynes) Waterhouse. Educated in Lowell schools, she was a graduate of St. Michael’s School and continued her education at St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned a certificate as a medical records technician.
Rita had been employed with the Federal Aviation Administration and later BAE Systems as an Administrative Assistant for ten years.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed pressing flowers, crocheting, cooking and playing the organ. Most of all, Rita loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
Members of her family include her husband Rene, whom she married on August 8, 1965 in Lowell, MA and shared over 55 years together; a daughter, Cheryl Houle and her husband, Christopher L. Houle, Jr; twelve grandchildren, Tiffany D’Amico, Julianne D’Amico, Richard D’Amico III, Kayleigh D’Amico, James D’Amico, Connor D’Amico, Kevin D’Amico, Isabelle D’Amico, Ryan Houle, Kayleigh Houle, Kellsie Houle and Karra Houle; sister-in-law, Dottie Waterhouse; brother-in-law, Robert Levesque and his wife Alice; and sister-in-law, Linda Steriti and her husband Peter; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her brother, Lester Waterhouse; and her sisters, Marie Maniatakos and Lillian Stott.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday, May 25th from 5 to 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army, One Montgomery Avenue, Nashua, Wednesday, May 26th at 11 a.m. Friends and family are invited to attend. Interment will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Thursday. Donations may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army, One Montgomery Avenue, Nashua, NH 03060.
