Robert J. Poulin, 84, of Nashua, beloved husband of Evelyn P. (Stevens)
Poulin, passed away early Monday morning, May 25, 2015 at the Kindred Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua after a brief illness.
Born in Nashua on August 4, 1930, he was a son of the late Alfred L. and Celia (Aryell) Poulin. During his youth, Bob and his family made their home in Hudson for many years. Educated in the Nashua and Hudson School Systems, Mr. Poulin was employed in his earlier years at Benson’s Wild Animal Farm and Jaspers Poultry Farm. In the mid1950s, Bob began a long career at Bronze Craft Corporation in Nashua, where he worked for 37 years until his retirement in 1992.
In 1985, Bob and Evelyn moved to Raymond, NH where they resided for thirteen years before returning to Nashua in 1998. Bob was an avid sports fan, watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots; and enjoyed camping and playing card games. Bob spent many hours around his yard and garden with his dog Brownie by his side.
Bob was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey R. Poulin who died January 30, 2014; and his brother Alfred Poulin.
Members of his family include his wife Evelyn, whom he married on August 18, 1956 at St. John The Evangelist Church in Hudson and would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this summer; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Joseph Kopka of Hudson; two sisters-in-law, Jannette Poulin of Merrimack and Lucille Boucher of Hudson; also many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Friday May 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John XXIII Parish at St. John The Evangelist Church, 27 Library Street, Hudson, Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Nashua.
