My deepest sympathy to all the Genest family for the loss of the beautiful person, Bob Genest. In the past we played music together. I am the proud recipient of Bob' s second handmade mandolin which came with a case and instruction book. He was truly a generous and loving person. "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20

Bobby, may God bless your sweet soul and show you the high and beautiful places you sang about and hoped to see some day. Now, you are there. You have made it. You will be missed by everyone you knew and who loved you. Planning the Saint Francis Class Reunion with Louise Chase, Jackie Paradise (God bless her too), Elaine Avard , others and seeing you there, Bob, at Elaine’s house was a great surprise. The eight grade reunion planning paid off because everyone saw all the faces they did not see in the high schools and colleges they went to. To all of the Genest family and friends, my deepest sympathies go out to you and yours. Take great pride in knowing he was a very special person and Always the peacemaker.

Our friendship with Bob goes back to 1972/73, he was a wonderful friend and such a talented woodworker and musician. We will miss him deeply. Sincere condolences to his family. In the early 70's Bob wrote: Love is wanting you, Love is holding you Love is all the things that we all care for. Love is giving all, Love is what we need Loves a word that can change our ways. It's so hard to find the love that we all need Love can do so many things we know Think of Love Jesus had for you and me He died for you and me and everyone Love is making things, Love is sharing things Love is giving and never asking in return Love can do so much, Love is many things Love's a word that can change our ways It's so hard to find the love that we all need Love can do so many things we know Think of Love Jesus had for you and me He died for you and me and everyone We love you Bob and will see you again.

For my little brother: You were the soul that everyone should meet in their lifetime. Kind, compassionate, patient, loved your kids and grandkids to the moon and back! I will remember all the trips and vacations that we made with Mom and Dad. Will remember your musical talent, your singing, playing guitar, making mandolins, everything about you was special. Go now and be with Mom and Dad and save me a place near you all. And when it is my time to go, may you be the one who reaches out and pulls me up. Love you forever! Rita

My dear sweet cousin. I was so shocked to hear of your passing. You are certainly the Gentle Giant of our family. We could not have asked for a better family member. You have been there for all of us. Without asking for anything in return. Your kindness, support, love, friendship, acceptance, patience, sense of humor and understanding is what makes you so special. My parents loved you like a son they never had. Rita is lucky to have you as a brother as well as Aaron and Martin having you as their father. All the memories I have of you are happy ones. May you find peace in Heaven with all those who have gone before us. With lots of love and admiration, Your "little" cousin Cindy.
