Robert R. Jellison, 87, of Hollis, NH and formerly of Quincy, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2016.
Born in Michigan City, Indiana on August 26, 1928, he was a son of the late Berl Wayne and Eva (Bies) Jellison. After his high school graduation, Bob began a long career with the telephone company as a Division Manager for NYNEX Corporation now Verizon for nearly 45 years, retiring in 1990.
A resident of Hollis since 1994, Bob had previously made his home in the Squantum area of Quincy, Massachusetts for 34 years. Bob was predeceased by his wife and favorite person, Gail T. (Schuster) Jellison, whom he married on September 6, 1947 and shared 57 years together until her passing on December 18, 2004. He was also predeceased by a son, Richard L. Jellison.
Members of his family include three children, Mark A. Jellison of Oakland, CA, Kay L. Custeau of Quincy, MA and Robin J. Pernice of Carlisle, MA; nine grandchildren; and his sister, Florence Snyder of Hawaii.
