  Roger C. Cloutier, 83, of Nashua, husband of Rita H. (Veilleux) Cloutier, passed away at his home, Friday afternoon, May 15, 2015 after a period of declining health.

    A lifelong resident of this city, Roger was born on July 24, 1931, a son of the late Emile and Alphonsine (Alarie) Cloutier. Educated in local schools, Mr. Cloutier served with the Air Force as a Corporal in Germany during the Korean War.

    Roger had been employed as a cabinet maker with the former Gregg & Son and Triangle Pacific Cabinet Corporation for several years. He served as vice president of the United Furniture Union Local 144. Roger was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 122 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 483.

     One of ten children, Roger was predeceased by five brothers, Roland, Maurice, Paul, Wilfred and Fernand Cloutier; and two sisters, Marie Claire Decoteau and Antoinette Hudon.

     Members of his family include his wife Rita, whom he married in 1959 and shared 55 years together; five children and their spouses, Suzanne Cloutier and her friend Tony Gordone, Michael and LeeAnn Cloutier, Denise and Paul Gorgone, Robert and Maureen Cloutier, and Diane and Trace Blake; seven grandsons, Andrew, Daniel, Nicholas, Ryan, Nolan, Tyler and Nathanael; a brother and sister-in-law, Rene and Arlene Cloutier of Englewood, FL; a sister, Florence Hudon; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 50 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Thursday morning at 10 o’clock. Family and friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Donations may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
