PELLETIER, SANDRA L

Sandra Louise Pelletier, 69, of Weare, NH, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday morning, Dec 5, 2024.

Sandi was born in Hamilton. Ontario, Canada on November 15, 1955, daughter of the late William D. and Lois R. (Neal) Hobden. Sandi and her family moved to the United States in 1958, where they settled in Nashua, NH. After graduating from Milford High School in 1973 she began working at Sanders in Nashua, as an electronics technician, when she graduated from NHTI Concord. She then moved into engineering, eventually becoming a Senior Principal Systems Engineer.

Sandi applied her technical prowess, stellar organizational skills, can-do attitude, and incredible flexibility to many successful defense products developed by Sanders, Lockheed Martin, and finally BAE Systems, finishing her career in the Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) business area. She contributed to the Common Missile Warning System, the F-22 electronic warfare system, the Joint Strike Fighter (F-35) countermeasures system, the Common Carriage dispenser system, and a multitude of other avionics products.

Sandi was also a long-time mentor in the Women in Technology program, sparking interest in engineering careers within hundreds of high school students. Sandi retired in 2023 after 50+ years of dedicated service to the warfighter and her community.

In her spare time and recent retirement Sandi was an avid reader who loved to get lost in a good book. She also shared her love of gardening with her son and found joy in going camping with her family. Sandi was a fantastic cook and enjoyed sharing her passion and recipes with everyone in her life.

With their friends Don and Lynn Carrara, Sandi and Mike donated their time and talents each Christmas by collecting “turkey certificates” from her BAE Systems co-workers. Then making canvas tote bags and filling them with food then donating them to dozens of local families in need.

Sandi was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother leaving behind quite a legacy that includes her husband Michael Pelletier whom she shared 41 years of marriage together; her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Catherine Pelletier; two grandchildren, Gillyan and Genevieve Pelletier.

So sorry to hear of Sandi’s passing. We met as children at age 4, then lost touch in high school. We reconnected in 2021 and I was so happy to have her back in my life. Sending love to her family from mine.

Mike, I am sorry for you and your family's loss of Sandi. She was a blessing to those fortunate enough to get to know her. I consider it a blessing to have known her since MASH and her poster parties. I thank you and Sandi for coming to NY for my wedding with Fran and bringing Janet also. She will stay in my prayers until she is in God's presence in Heaven! Let us know if you need anything.

I worked with Sandy with the ATIRCM program and found a kind and caring person who was always willing to help others and spread joy. I know that she will be dearly missed by those who knew her best (her family). I send my most sincere condolences to them in their great loss. Always keep Sandy alive in your memories and know that she is with her creator and now watching down on you all. Make her proud!

Sandi was a wonderful person and very hard-working. She really deserved a longer retirement to enjoy her family. May she find her reward for a life well lived and rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear this morning of Sandi's passing. My deepest condolences to her family. She was a valued co-worker of mine for close to ten years, but it was her outstanding character and her commitment to help others as witnessed by the annual turkey certificate collection that really stood out to me.
