Stephen A. Soucy, 79, of Hudson and formerly of Nashua, passed away Thursday morning, May 20, 2021, after a period of declining health.
Born in Kittery, Maine on April 1, 1942, he was a son of the late Roger and Jeanette (LaRose) Soucy. Steve grew up in Nashua and was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1960. He began his career working with his father at the former Roger Soucy Motors, a Lincoln / Mercury dealership on the corner of Main and East Hollis Streets in Nashua. After the business closed, Steve was employed at the International Paper Box Machine Company in Nashua for many years as manager of manufacturing. Following his retirement, he worked part-time at Robbins Auto Parts.
Steve was a member of Club National and served on its Board of Directors. In his leisure time, he enjoyed taking care of his cars and lawns at his home, that he took great pride in. Steve also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Members of his family include his wife, Madlyn C. (Lozeau) Soucy, whom he married on October 26, 1963 and shared over 57 wonderful years together; his daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and George MacDonald of Milford and Kimberly and David DeCarolis of Litchfield; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Trevor and Brooke Palladino, McKayla Buckley and her husband Tyler, Kendra DeCarolis and her fiancé Joe Figlioli, Hope and Logan DeCarolis, and Corinne Miller; four great-grandchildren, Ryker and Kaysen Buckley, Julian Palladino and Killian Collins; a brother, Peter Soucy of Portland, ME; three sisters, Patricia Ravenelle and her husband Ted of Burke, VA, Brenda Anastasoff of Saco, ME and the late Sylvia M. McKay, who passed away in July of 2001; also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday, May 27th from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph The Worker Church, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Friday, May 28th at 10 a.m. Friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to the Nashua Children’s Home, 125 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH 03064.
