Theresa J (Petrain) Valcourt Henderson, 90, passed away early Sunday morning, October 31, 2021 at Catholic Medical Center surrounded by family to reunite with the love of her life, Frank H. Henderson.
A lifelong Nashua resident, she was born on November 12, 1930 to late Wilfred J and Lillian (Marchand) Petrain. She was educated in Nashua and raised her family there.
Theresa was a devoted homemaker to her family. Her grandchildren were the center of her world and with them she made many memories, including cooking her famous Memere soup. She enjoyed trips to Hampton Beach, knitting, and her beloved cat, Max.
Theresa and her husband Frank were married in June of 1964 and shared 47 wonderful years together until his passing in October of 2012. Together they raised their family and made many trips to the beach.
Theresa leaves behind many loving family members including six children and their spouses, Janet and Dave Raisanen, Debra Valcourt and Jeffrey Latvis, Edward Valcourt, Raymond Valcourt, Dianne and Lucien Duval and Dennis Valcourt; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Valcourt (widow of Roger); several grandchildren including, Taylor and Amanda Raisanen, Elizabeth Valcourt, Crystal Antonucci and Courtney Lee; several great-grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Ronald and Kay Petrain and Paul and Judy Petrain. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank H. Henderson, a son, Roger W. Valcourt, and two brothers, Wilfred and Conrad Petrain.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Thursday evening, November 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 8 o’clock. Friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
