SMART, VIRGINIA M.

   Virginia M. Smart, 81, of Nashua, wife of Leon F. Smart, Jr., passed away Friday afternoon, August 5, 2022 after a period of declining health.         

    A longtime resident of Nashua, she was born in Manchester on December 29, 1940, a daughter of the late Adrian F. and Anna (Lubelczyk) Ouellette. Educated in local schools, Virginia was a graduate of Nashua High School. In addition to raising her family, she had been employed with the former Child World store at the Nashua Mall and then worked at Sprague Electric Company for many years.

  Virginia was the loving wife to Dad for 60 years of marriage, four children of a loving home they built together. Rides to the beach and mountain travels in a “66 Chevy Malibu Convertible, Mom bought for Dad. Love of gardens, flowers and Cardinals. The love of speaking Polish with loved ones who have passed. Cooking with her children, Danielle Steel reads, knitting and dancing with Dad in the living room. Kind and patient Mom, lay your head ever so softly in the Lord’s palm, walk among color of flowers with our Ashley. Never Good Bye, See you later to the Moon and back.

    Members of her family include her husband Leon; two sons, Ricky Lee Smart and his wife Sharon, and Kenneth Michael Smart; two daughters, Leanne Barbara Smart Barcelos and her husband Raymond, and Laurie Lynn Frenette and her husband Richard; six grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Drolet Barcelos, Meaghan Marie Barcelos, Kyle Jonathan Smart, Nicholas Lee Smart, Corey Frenette and Kylee Frenette; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Ouellette; also nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her granddaughter, Ashley; and her brother, Robert R. Ouellette.  

     There will be no formal services at this time. Donations may be made in her memory to Future in Sight, 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301.
